Curing is a vital aspect of our process which creates a chemical reaction using heat, enabling the powder coating to melt and chemically fuse to the metal underneath. This is what creates such a resilient and long-lasting finish which will stand the test of time.

Heat Application

Once the item has completed the powder coating process,

it’s heated up to 200°C. These high temperatures are

essential to ensure a proper curing process.

Melt & Flow

After the component reaches this temperature, the

powder coating particles begin to transition from a solid

to a semi-liquid state. Eventually, they become fully liquid and smooth out across the item.

Crosslinking

This sustained high temperature begins to trigger a chemical reaction within the now liquified powder. This begins to change the physical nature of the coating. After around 25 minutes, the crosslinking will have fully occurred across the object.

Cooling

The element is then removed from the heat source. This allows the liquid powder coating to cool and harden, creating the durable coating on the component.

Once this process is finished, the element is now ready to use. With its new durable coating, the component will withstand a wide range of environmental factors such as chemicals, abrasion, weather, and more.
